Al-Farah Center attracts the people and visitors of the Medina region, given its cool atmosphere during the summer. It has become a destination for many of them. The center was given this name because it exactly resembles the vertebrae of the spine. It is a chain of mountains adjacent to each other in an almost longitudinal line. It rises about 1,800 meters above sea level, and is approximately 80 kilometers away from the city. It is unique in its cool and moderate climate in the summer, with intense heat. Cold in winter.

Al-Faqrah is famous for its high mountains, and among its most famous mountains are the “Ash’ar and Al-Ajrid” mountains. The mountain was called Al-Ash’ar because it is filled with trees, especially juniper and tamarisk trees, while the other mountain was called Al-Ajrd due to the absence of plants or greenery in it. It is a mountain located to the northwest of Al-Faqara. The mountain is independent of Al-Fara and is somewhat far away.

Al-Farrah is characterized by mild weather in summer, with the temperature being approximately 15 degrees Celsius lower than that of Medina. Therefore, it became a center of attraction for the people of Medina, and the tourist movement there increased due to the requirements for hiking, in addition to the presence of an integrated tourist village in the central area.

This region is characterized by the cultivation of palm trees and grains on rainwater. It is also famous for the finest types of honey, and for the cultivation of olives and some fruits that have received interest from the region’s farmers recently. For its success and good production.
